Revivocell is a UK-based spin-out from Lancaster University, founded in 2015. Located at the Sci-Tech Daresbury Science Incubator Hub in Warrington, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing cell culture technology. Dr Valon Llabjani (Founder & CEO)
Valon has a strong background in biomedical science, with a PhD and over 15 years of experience in life sciences research. He has successfully managed numerous academic and commercial projects, leading to multiple patent applications and securing funding for business growth at Revivocell. Dr. Llabjani's expertise spans various fields, including product design, tissue engineering, and toxicology. His contributions have been published in over 20 academic peer-reviewed journals, establishing him as a leading researcher in the industry.

Dr Valmira Hoti (COO)
Dr. Valmira Hoti is responsible for developing commercialization strategies and overseeing operations at Revivocell. With a BSc (Hons) in Banking & Finance and a PhD in Statistics from Lancaster University, she brings a unique blend of financial and statistical expertise to the team. Prior to joining Revivocell, Dr. Hoti worked in the business growth sector of a bank, where she assisted innovative tech start-ups with finance and commercialization. Her diverse background and experience contribute to the success of Revivocell's business endeavors.

Prof. Francis L Martin (Advisory Board)
Professor Martin, a world-renowned expert in the field of toxicology. With a distinguished record and expertise in various toxicology tests, he brings invaluable knowledge to our team. Professor Martin has held prominent roles in professional societies, including as the President of the UK Environmental Mutagen Society and an expert member of the DoH Committee on Mutagenicity. His involvement in developing regulatory guidelines and his renowned reputation make him an invaluable asset in the translation of our technology to the market.

Dr Raffaello Sbordoni (Research Scientist)
Raffaello has a background in Biomedical Engineering and gained experience in the use of advanced in vitro models of the liver before pursuing his PhD in Tissue Engineering at University College London. During his doctoral studies, he focused on the development of an organ-on-a-chip model of the human airways. With his interdisciplinary background in both engineering and biology, Raffaello brings a unique perspective to his role as a Research and Development scientist at Revivocell. In this role, he is involved in the development of complex in vitro models of various human organs.

Dr Abdullah Talari (Research Scientist)
Abdullah brings a wealth of expertise to Revivocell with his interdisciplinary background and extensive research experience. With a Ph.D. in Material Science and Tissue Engineering, funded by EPSRC, from the University of Sheffield, Abdullah has conducted research on various aspects of biofilms, live cell imaging, and 3D scaffolds. He has also served as a project leader in the FAST Healthcare NetworkPlus Project, focusing on diagnosing colorectal neoplasia. At Revivocell, Abdullah's research revolves around designing and implementing research plans for Liver and Brain models on Organ-On-A-Chip platforms. His work aims to leverage these models for drug discovery and advanced toxicity assessment, pushing the boundaries of scientific innovation.

Dr Ahtasham Raza (Advisory Board)
Dr. Ahtasham Raza brings valuable expertise and skills to the team at Revivocell. With his interdisciplinary background and extensive research experience in 3D soft tissue engineering and bioimaging, he brings a unique perspective to the development of advanced cell culture models. His proficiency in working with primary and iPSC cells enables the creation of accurate and relevant models for studying normal and diseased conditions, such as skin modeling and oncology. Dr. Raza's knowledge in drug discovery and toxicology testing further enhances the team's capabilities, supporting the development of innovative solutions in the field of life sciences research.
Dr Imran Patel (Advisory Board)
Dr. Imran Patel is a valuable member of the Revivocell team, bringing a strong academic background and extensive experience in the field of cancer research. With a PhD in Biological Sciences from Lancaster University and postdoctoral fellow training at renowned institutions such as the University of Cambridge, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, and Imperial College London NHS trust, he has honed his expertise in the application of vibrational spectroscopy for bio-sensing and bio-imaging of cancer. Dr. Patel plays a crucial role in supporting the imaging and characterization of organ models, as well as providing valuable insights for the clinical translation of the CELLBLOKS platform. His contributions contribute to the advancement of our technologies in cancer research and enhance our ability to bring innovative solutions to the clinical setting.
